My gig is tonight. Nobody, I think, who reads this page will physically be able to come. But just in case, it’s at 12 Bar on Denmark Street in Soho. I go on at 8:45pm and the cover is £5. Please come.
But, perhaps more interesting: I’m trying to get a gig at Social, and it turns out the booking is done by A&R at Heavenly Records, probably the coolest label in Britain. This has led to me listening to their online jukebox a lot. I usually skip through the Vines and Magic Numbers now, and go straight to “Blonde on Blonde” by Nada Surf and “Watching the Sun Come Up” and “Born in the Seventies” by Ed Harcourt. Go try it. Those three tunes will make your day.

I got many notes that people wanted to post comments last night, wishing me luck etc. Thanks everybody! I really am so gratified and flattered by all the love and support, however virtual it has to be across the Atlantic.
Sorry if you weren’t able to post a comment, though — I think blogger.com was doing some repairs yesterday evening. . .
