Despite the comedic potential, I find this whale stuck in the Thames really sad. The poor thing is completely disorientated (as they say here, with the extra “at”), and apparently is also injured. I don’t know if you’ve looked at a map of London lately, but the Thames is wicked winding and it only gets much narrower and shallower as you head west. No one thinks there is much chance of our cetacean friend getting back to the Channel without serious help.
Poor guy.
Here’s to the deceased whale who gave it a good go. Nice to see all those blokes jumping into the river with their suits on to help it at least.
